- 8+ years software engineering experience
- 3+ years technical lead or engineering management experience
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Strong hands-on experience with microservices
- Strong hands-on experience with distributed systems
- Deep experience with secure data infrastructure
- Deep experience with external system integration
- Proficiency in Python
- Proficiency in modern backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask)
- Frontend experience
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams
- Proven ability to mentor engineering teams
- Proven ability to grow engineering teams
- Empathetic communication skills
- Ability to foster collaboration
- Experience in healthcare, MedTech, or regulated software environments (ISO 13485, FDA QSR)
- Familiarity with medical imaging pipelines (DICOM/PACS)

- Experience scaling systems to production clinical deployment
- Background in product/platform engineering disciplines
- Experience aligning ML and engineering teams
- Ability to work in person at Berlin office

- Shape and guide engineering culture
- Manage backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA engineers
- Support engineer career growth and autonomy
- Lead hiring initiatives
- Define new engineering roles
- Conduct structured interviews
- Build a high-performing engineering team
- Set clear team expectations
- Run effective development sprints
- Remove team blockers
- Oversee core platform architecture, delivery, and reliability
- Drive technical decisions on tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure
- Design and evolve scalable, secure DICOM/PACS architectures
- Design and evolve scalable, secure clinical data infrastructure
- Ensure clinical-grade reliability across all systems
- Align ML, product, and security team priorities
- Ensure seamless releases and clinical readiness
- Ensure reliable, on-time delivery of platform capabilities
- Align platform delivery with product and clinical milestones
- Facilitate technical collaboration across teams and partners
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Establish and maintain monitoring systems
- Establish and maintain incident response
- Establish and maintain operational excellence practices
- Manage platform reliability, security, and compliance
- Ensure compliance with SaMD and regulatory requirements
- Oversee DevOps and QA functions
- Ensure quality and security across the delivery pipeline
