Requirements

  • MSc or equivalent degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, physics, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with PCB assembly (soldering, wiring) and basic lab equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, current/voltage sensors)
  • Experience in current interruption experiments in MV/HV levels preferred
  • Experience with discreet and modular power electronics components (e.g. MOSFET/IGBT device, gate driver) desirable
  • Good working knowledge of Python, PLECS, or Modelica advantageous
  • Flexibility to learn new things and work in dynamic atmosphere
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of German is an advantage

  • Conduct literature reviews on MV-CBs for renewable energy integration
  • Perform technical analysis on MV-CBs for renewable energy integration
  • Design experiments to validate next-gen CB performance
  • Perform experiments to validate next-gen CB performance
  • Optimize drive units for next-gen CBs
  • Test dynamic response of next-gen CBs
  • Perform failure diagnostics on next-gen CBs
  • Perform multiphysics simulations using COMSOL
  • Perform multiphysics simulations using Siemens Simcenter
  • Conduct CFD analysis to evaluate CB behavior
  • Optimize CB geometries based on simulation results
  • Develop experimental circuits for lab testing
  • Test experimental circuits in a lab environment
  • Develop functional modules for lab testing
  • Test functional modules in a lab environment
  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals
  • Present research at international conferences
  • Generate patents to protect innovations
  • Generate technical reports for commercialization
  • Maintain lab safety protocols
  • Maintain equipment logs
  • Maintain calibration records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for validation
