Researching high-voltage SiC power devices, gate-driving, and packaging for series-connected devices at a global ICT solutions provider. MSc in Power Electronics or equivalent required, wide-bandgap semiconductor knowledge essential. German and Mandarin language courses.
Requirements
- MSc in Power Electronics or equivalent
- Laboratory or R&D experience (advantageous)
- Knowledge of wide-bandgap semiconductor devices
- Experience in semiconductor characterization
- Familiarity with gate-driver and PCB design
- Experience in power electronics packaging characterization
- Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, or Python (advantageous)
- Target-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn
- Very good English and teamwork skills
Tasks
- Analyze literature to identify MV PV and ESS trends
- Research high-voltage switches using SiC power devices
- Develop gate-driving techniques for voltage balancing
- Design packaging technologies for series-connected SiC devices
- Implement packaging solutions for high-voltage devices
- Demonstrate proof of concepts in a lab environment
- Attend academic conferences to identify future trends
- Document findings through patents, reports, and publications
