- Study spatially compounding fire-conducive weather extremes across Europe
- Investigate future projections of extreme events
- Analyze associated uncertainties of extreme events
- Develop storylines for extreme events
- Assess potential for worst-case extreme events
- Collaborate with team members on simulations, attribution, and impact modeling
- Combine observational and climate model data
- Examine physical drivers of extreme events
- Compute fire weather index from climate model simulations
- Analyze large climate datasets
- Participate in the UFZ graduate school HIGRADE
- Engage in targeted training
- Publish results in peer-reviewed papers
- Present results at national and international conferences
- Collaborate with relevant project partners
