Requirements

  • Master's degree (GPA >3.3) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Microsystem Technology, or related field
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, or microsystems engineering
  • Experience in CAD, Lumped element modelling, FEM simulation, MATLAB programming, thermal characterization, or mechanical testing
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English

Tasks

  • Design elastocaloric microcooling system using SMA thin films
  • Develop intelligent thermal switch for controllable heat transfer
  • Integrate thermal switch to enhance heat dissipation and reliability
  • Rapidly prototype using optical lithography, 3D printing, laser technology
  • Develop, characterize, and control cooling demonstrator variants
  • Optimize design through simulation
