Requirements

  • •Master's degree in Geosciences, related field, or equivalent
  • •Experience with numerical modeling of flow and transport
  • •Programming skills in C++ and Python
  • •Knowledge of reactive transport processes (advantageous)
  • •Experience with OpenGeoSys or similar simulation software
  • •Excellent communication skills in English
  • •Independent work and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
  • •Strong motivation for doctoral research

  • •Utilize OpenGeoSys for complex geological modeling

  • •Perform sensitivity analyses on repository models
  • •Model sandy area effects on gas transport kinetics
  • •Collaborate with graduate school project partners
  • •Participate in five interdisciplinary seasonal schools
  • •Publish research in peer-reviewed journals
  • •Present findings at national and international conferences
  • •Complete a doctoral dissertation within three years
