Requirements
- University degree or technician with extensive experience
- Around 5 years of professional experience in photonics or related high-tech environment
- German C1 and English B2
- Experience with optical metrology equipment, e.g. Interferometer
- Solid understanding of LEAN principles (e.g., Kaizen, Muda, 5S)
- Mindset focused on continuous improvement
- Positive, open-minded and collaborative personality
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to other Thorlbas entities
Tasks
- Transfer new products from idea to mass-market manufacturing
- Ensure compliance with LEAN manufacturing principles
- Set up new production machines
- Develop jigs for product assembly
- Coordinate activities for product transfer to manufacturing
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and quality
- Ensure PPAP compliance and conduct FAI
- Perform DFM and DFA analysis with manufacturing and engineering
- Develop and implement new manufacturing procedures and equipment
- Write SOPs and train the manufacturing team
- Monitor processes post-release for DFA and DFM compliance
- Design and manufacture jigs and packaging using SolidWorks and FDM printers
