Medical Science Liaison Manager - Rare Disease(m/w/x)
Scientific exchange with medical thought leaders on transformative biopharmaceutical medicines. Advanced scientific/medical degree and 2+ years MSL experience required; Rare Disease/Liver experience a plus. Flexible working hours.
Requirements
- Advanced Scientific, healthcare or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD)
- Experience in Medical/paramedical Practice or Research career (hospital, university, pharmaceutical industry, medical affairs)
- At least 2 years’ experience in MSL or related role with proven track record
- Experience in scientific presentations and Thought Leader relationship development
- Advantageous: Previous/recent experience in Rare Diseases/Liver
- Expertise in synthesizing and communicating medical information clearly
- Knowledge of data analysis, statistics, legal, regulatory, compliance guidelines
- Team player, solution-oriented approach, good communication skills
- Ability to travel ~60-80%
- Business fluent German and English
Tasks
- Identify national and regional medical KOLs
- Develop relationships with medical KOLs
- Engage in scientific exchange with KOLs
- Educate KOLs on emerging therapies
- Participate in advisory boards and congresses
- Develop expertise in Rare Diseases
- Maintain expertise in Rare Diseases
- Represent the company at medical events
- Collaborate with clinical development
- Identify sites for Ipsen clinical trials
- Engage sites for Ipsen clinical trials
- Identify disease concepts for differentiation
- Position Ipsen as a scientific partner
- Provide scientific support to internal teams
- Support medical publications as needed
- Support commercial operations
- Participate in speaker training
- Lead special project teams
- Participate on special project teams
- Support cross-functional teams
- Ensure patient-focused operations
- Respond rapidly to internal requests
- Respond rapidly to external requests
- Provide medical affairs support to stakeholders
