Mechanical Engineer for Avionics Equipment(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, or equivalent qualification (Master's degree a plus)
- 1-3 years experience in mechanical design, preferably aerospace/space/high-reliability industries
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and 2D drawing creation
- Highly preferred Siemens NX experience
- Solid understanding of GD&T and its practical application
- Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, turning, sheet metal, basic assembly)
- Strong focus on DfMA (design for manufacturing, assembly, integration)
- Advantageous interest or initial experience in space hardware design
- Comfortable producing clear technical documentation
- English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Proactive mindset

- Ability to work collaboratively
Tasks
- Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and housings for spacecraft equipment.
- Design 3D CAD models and production drawings using Siemens NX.
- Apply DfMA principles for efficient, cost-effective, and repeatable production.
- Define and apply GD&T standards.
- Ensure proper fit, function, and interchangeability.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation.
- Manage drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Compile design review materials.
- Support hardware manufacturing and assembly.
- Support hardware integration activities.
- Perform troubleshooting and design iterations.
- Collaborate with diverse engineering teams.
- Ensure mechanical designs meet subsystem and system-level requirements.
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure designs are feasible, clear, and compliant.
- Incorporate space-relevant design constraints.
- Address launch loads and thermal environments.
- Optimize designs for cleanliness and mass.
