Materials & Processes Non Destructive Testing Engineer(m/w/x)
Developing testing methods for aircraft structural component production, qualifying new tasks for global partners. Profound experience in minimum two testing techniques (UT, ET, PT, MT, RT, CT) required. 30 days paid vacation, extra days-off for special occasions.
Requirements
- Degree in Aircraft Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
- Profound experience in NDT techniques (minimum 2 among UT, ET, PT, MT, RT, CT)
- Robust knowledge of materials, processes, tests, and technical qualification
- Team spirit and customer orientation
- Excellent written and spoken English, good German skills (plus)
- Security clearance or eligibility for clearance
Tasks
- Develop and implement NDT methods for structural component production.
- Qualify new NDT tasks for Airbus and global partners.
- Resolve technical queries from production, stress domain, RSPs, subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain NDT specifications (AITM).
- Assess NDT process deviations for Airbus plants and global suppliers.
- Contribute to internal and external NDT method development and optimization projects.
