Requirements

  • Studies in (techno-)mathematics, chemical, mechanical, aerospace, process engineering, physics, computational engineering science, or comparable field
  • Knowledge in numerical solution of differential equations
  • Advantageous knowledge of mathematical modeling of chemical kinetics
  • Basic programming skills in Python, Julia, C++, or similar
  • Good language skills in German or English
  • High motivation and strong independence

Tasks

  • Study mathematical modeling of solid propellant combustion kinetics.
  • Learn numerical solution methods for models.
  • Implement a solver in Python or Julia.
  • Parameterize the model using experimental data.
