Manager Environmental Sustainability(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will be at the forefront of shaping and implementing environmental strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading initiatives that enhance sustainability across operations. Your work will directly impact energy efficiency and waste management efforts.

Requirements

• •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability, EHS or related field
• •5+ years of experience in EHS / Environmental or Sustainability roles in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or industrial operations
• •Solid knowledge of EU environmental regulations
• •Solid knowledge of ISO 14001 or environmental management systems
• •Solid knowledge of carbon footprinting & energy management
• •Experience with audits, inspections and authority communication
• •Fluent English
• •Additional certification in EHS / Environmental Management
• •Experience in multi-site or regional environments
• •Knowledge of German, Polish or Czech
• •Experience with ESG or sustainability reporting frameworks
• •Project management experience in operational rollouts

Tasks

• •Develop and implement the environmental and sustainability strategy
• •Translate corporate targets into practical site-level actions
• •Drive implementation of the environmental management system (ISO 14001)
• •Define environmental standards, procedures, and KPIs
• •Ensure compliance with EU and local environmental regulations
• •Conduct environmental audits and risk assessments
• •Lead corrective actions for non-compliance
• •Act as the central expert on environmental compliance topics
• •Lead energy efficiency, waste management, and emission reduction programs
• •Implement carbon reduction initiatives in logistics operations
• •Drive continuous improvement in environmental performance
• •Track environmental KPIs and performance indicators
• •Support ESG and sustainability reporting activities
• •Maintain legal registers and environmental documentation
