Requirements
- Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related science/engineering discipline with coursework in risk management or safety (preferred, not required depending on experience)
- Ability to operate beyond compliance-based health and safety management
- Collaboration with stakeholders to find business-supporting solutions
- Identification and control of risk

Tasks
- Support improving health and safety in data centers
- Advance safety culture and protect employees
- Collaborate with experts in various fields for health and safety
- Partner with employees and contractors to achieve safety goals
- Work with construction managers to identify and mitigate risks
- Advocate safe changes in a fast-paced environment
- Monitor and execute EHS processes
- Ensure electrical safety and control of hazardous energy
- Manage occupational noise exposure and heat stress prevention
- Conduct exposure assessments and industrial hygiene
- Develop emergency response plans
- Ensure safe working at heights and confined space entry
- Manage heavy material handling and powered industrial trucks
- Mitigate construction-related risks
- Maintain fire and life safety
- Handle hazardous substances and manage waste
- Promote ergonomics and spill prevention
- Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Conduct health and safety audits
- Develop and review safety plans for emergencies
- Maintain safety records and data integrity
- Perform data trend analysis for business and safety initiatives
- Consult with the VDC compliance team
- Identify and remediate risks using the hierarchy of controls
- Provide health and safety guidance to customers
- Report to the Senior Manager, EHS
- Standardize policies and procedures
- Account for EHS performance metrics
- Periodically inspect and audit safe work practices
- Conduct workplace risk and exposure assessments
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Deliver regulatory training programs
- Monitor and communicate regulatory requirements
- Analyze and communicate safety metrics
- Implement effective solutions with leaders and staff
- Drive standardized and harmonized approaches
- Present safety topics and metrics to leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned
