- •5+ years building compilers and co-designing hardware
- •Expertise in systems architecture and programming languages
- •Master's, PhD, or equivalent industry experience
- •Fluency in English
- •German language skills (beneficial)
- •Experience with heterogeneous compute architectures (plus)
- •Experience defining MLIR dialects (plus)
- •Experience with AI frameworks (plus)
- •Background in photonics (beneficial)

- •Design and deliver the LLVM/MLIR compiler stack
- •Define the MLIR dialect for photonic computing
- •Build paths into hardware interfaces
- •Co-design system architecture and Instruction Set Architecture
- •Shape hardware design for high parallelism
- •Optimize on-device execution for low latency
- •Provide technical guidance to algorithm teams
- •Develop high-performance compute kernels
- •Drive profiling and performance analysis
- •Identify bottlenecks in compiler-generated code
- •Coordinate development with system and ASIC teams
- •Lead collaboration with external partners
- •Contribute to company Open Source initiatives
- •Engage with the LLVM/MLIR community
