Description

In this role, you will be part of an international team providing essential legal expertise to various departments, helping to navigate risks in commercial contracts and supporting transactions in the Space Systems sector. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include drafting agreements, advising on legal matters, and ensuring compliance while fostering a culture of legal awareness.

Requirements

• •Advanced law degree in German law
• •Qualified legal expert with international experience
• •Background in contract law and experience in negotiating contracts
• •Knowledge in IP and public procurement law
• •Willingness to contribute to and evolve in an empowering organisation
• •Fluency in English and French
• •Availability to travel
• •Ability to manage German eyes only projects
• •Ability to work efficiently under demanding deadlines
• •5-10 years of experience in a multi-national company or international law firm
• •Excellent interpersonal skills including communication and negotiation

Tasks

• •Provide legal support to Sales, Finance, Program, Engineering, and Procurement departments
• •Identify and analyze risks in commercial contracts and industrial setups
• •Advise commercial colleagues to enable informed decision-making
• •Attend Screening Reviews and Risk Management Committee meetings
• •Offer advice on contract law, bank guarantees, IT law, IP law, and public procurement law
• •Participate in project teams for national and international bids
• •Evaluate terms and conditions of Requests for Proposal and Invitations to Tender
• •Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including agreements and contracts
• •Identify legal risks and propose mitigation solutions
• •Support in obtaining Export Credit Agency financing when applicable
• •Draft and update standard contracts proactively
• •Manage situations involving suppliers in administration
• •Assist in claim management with suppliers and customers
• •Support the M&A team in transactions involving Space Systems
• •Develop strategies to avoid litigation and support the litigation team when necessary
• •Promote legal and compliance awareness among business colleagues
• •Manage relationships with external legal advisors
• •Contribute to improvements in internal processes
• •Collaborate on the evolution of the legal department's organization
• •Provide training and supervision to colleagues and trainees
