Requirements
- •Expert knowledge in kinematics, control, path planning, and calibration of robotic systems
- •Profound experience with complex medical devices such as surgical robots, navigation systems, or medical imaging processes
- •Expert-level skills in C++ and Python
- •Strong expertise in requirements engineering
- •Working experience in highly regulated environments (medical, aerospace, automotive)
- •PhD in robotics, control theory, or related disciplines
- •Experience in leading teams
- •Experience with C++, Python, Qt, Eigen, OpenCV, Ruckig, ROS2, GTest/GMock, Git, Azure DevOps, Linux, and RT Linux
- •Hands-on contributor and strong interdisciplinary networking skills
- •Modern, empowering leadership style
- •Innovative mindset and enthusiasm for high-tech medical products
- •Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an asset

Tasks
- •Develop robotic systems using advanced algorithms for kinematics, control, path planning, calibration, and sensor fusion
- •Balance normative, technical, and usability requirements with QM, regulatory, PO, and UX teams
- •Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to remove obstacles and streamline workflows
- •Deliver high-quality solutions that meet medical standards in robotics throughout pre-development, validation, market introduction, and product maintenance
- •Create well-structured and maintainable software components using modern software design approaches
- •Work on system integration and support the transformation of prototypes into market-ready products
- •Lead a team of software and robotics engineers, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and goal setting
- •Scout the technology landscape to ensure robotics competencies remain cutting-edge
- •Shape the strategy for connecting robotic systems and AI
- •Contribute to building a strong IP portfolio for the platform
- •Partner with other B. Braun units to share expertise in robotics
