Labour Relations Professional(m/w/x)
In this role, you will be the key liaison for Works Council relations in Germany, ensuring compliance with labor laws while fostering strong partnerships. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include advising on HR matters, managing agreements, and supporting regional labor relations initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Law, Business, Industrial/Labour Relations, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive HR/ER/LR experience in Germany
- Sound understanding of German labour law and compliance
- Proven experience negotiating with Works Councils and managing WC litigations
- Fluency in German (C2/native) and strong English skills
- Ability to work onsite at Waldbronn at least 3 days/week
- Structured approach to managing complex processes and agreements
- Political versatility and ability to navigate sensitive topics
- Excellent networking and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance multiple stakeholder expectations
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Hands-on mentality with strategic oversight
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills
- High integrity and discretion in handling confidential matters
Tasks
- Act as the primary contact for three Works Council bodies and the Economic Committee on HR matters
- Coordinate personnel measure submissions for Works Council review
- Review, renegotiate, and operationalize Works Council agreements
- Manage Works Council-related litigations and coordinate with stakeholders
- Oversee the Works Council operational budget and approve training and supplies
- Provide quarterly statistics and election-related reporting
- Partner with Total Rewards CoE on salary reviews and job family introductions
- Represent HR at site Works Council townhalls and Group meetings
- Serve as the escalation point for ad hoc Works Council requests
- Own the relationship with the Works Council and its committees
- Advise HRBPs on compliance and employment law implications
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on program and process changes
- Support employee litigations with external legal counsel as needed
- Lead notifications and terminations where HRBP is outside Germany
- Review and update contract templates to reflect legal changes
- Project lead the Works Council-related part of the HR transition
- Maintain oversight of key changes in labour law and update frameworks
- Contribute to labour relations activities in other European countries
