Requirements
- 1–2 years full-time AML/KYC or operations experience in financial services/fintech
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or related field preferred
- Understanding of AML/KYC frameworks (e.g., FATF, EU AML Directives)
- Ability to translate German (GwG) and Luxembourgish (CSSF) requirements into actionable instructions
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills
- Proactive research and suggestion of alternative verification methods
- Judgment to distinguish regulatory 'no' from complex 'how-to'
- Critical and outside-the-box thinking
- Understanding of regulation intent ('why')
- Collaborative approach with Growth and Product teams
- Maintaining 'First Line of Defense' integrity
- Comfortable working with structured data
- Passion for using tools and AI to improve manual processes
- Familiarity with private equity or fund operations structures
- Experience with reconciliation workflows or payments monitoring tools
- Experience with fund administrators, custodian banks, or multi-jurisdictional compliance
- Encouraged to apply even if not meeting all requirements
- Eligible to live and work in Berlin
Tasks
- Act as primary contact for Luxembourgish KYC/AML service providers
- Ensure onboarding meets Luxembourgish and German regulatory standards
- Identify and implement compliant document solutions for complex investor structures
- Proactively identify and resolve onboarding bottlenecks
- Oversee MiFID II appropriateness testing and professionalisation checks
- Resolve complex investor queries regarding legal entities and high-net-worth onboarding
- Support technical execution of distributions with 100% financial precision
- Automate document collection and streamline payment workflows
- Maintain rigorous investor-level audit trail
- Monitor account activity to flag and escalate suspicious activities
