Requirements

  • Degree in natural sciences, computer sciences, or engineering
  • Background as entrepreneur in a tech start-up
  • Experience in building high-performing teams
  • Experience in computer vision and robotics
  • Proven experience in developing prototypes
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Keen interest in investigating complex problems
  • Drive labor automation solutions
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • German is a plus

Tasks

  • Build an internal startup and drive prototype development
  • Interact with key stakeholders and future customers to understand product requirements
  • Shape a startup-like development and business environment
  • Lead and coordinate development teams for fast iterations
  • Regularly report progress to top management, including the executive board
  • Define and validate technical specifications and KPIs
  • Shape the roadmap and long-term product vision while managing budget efficiency
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, including recruiting top talent
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Establish collaboration channels with industry partners, startups, or research institutions
  • Leverage advancements in robotics, computer vision, simulation, machine learning, and AI for labor automation in greenhouses
  • Support business development activities and report progress to top management
