Requirements

  • Studies in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or comparable with strong analytical focus
  • Good programming skills in Python or Matlab
  • Experience with data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn)
  • Solid theoretical understanding of data analysis techniques
  • Solid theoretical understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts
  • Keen interest in researching and comparing algorithmic approaches
  • First-hand experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus
  • Familiarity with time-series data analysis
  • Ability to analyze situations in depth
  • Ability to investigate complex relationships
  • Structured and methodical problem-solving approach
  • Independent work ethic
  • Clear and comprehensible documentation of results
  • Business fluent English or/and German
  • Enrollment at university
  • Attach CV, transcript of records, enrollment certificate, examination regulations
  • Attach valid work and residence permit if indicated

  • Develop data cleaning scripts
  • Transform raw data for ML training
  • Create meaningful features from time-series data
  • Conduct literature review on ML models
  • Compare GANs, VAEs, RNNs, and Transformers
  • Summarize data findings in a report
  • Prepare a detailed presentation
  • Recommend optimal ML model architecture
