Innovation Project Engineer(m/w/x)
Driving R&D delivery of AI-based medical software for health tech. Medical validation and end-to-end traceability experience required. Flexible trust-based working hours, supplementary pension.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical/Medical Engineering, Software Engineering, Engineering, or comparable technical field
- Approximately 4+ years relevant professional experience beyond education in MedTech environment
- Experience in medical software validation, ideally in Ultrasound
- Strong affinity for software development
- Experience in requirements engineering or keen to deepen skills
- Solid background in regulated MedTech, awareness of IEC 62304, ISO 13485, FDA, EU MDR
- Experience in Ultrasound and/or hospital IT environment (DICOM or HL7)
- Well-organized, independent, and structured work manner
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ability to align across functions
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously improve
- Fluent in German and English for daily work
Tasks
- Drive R&D delivery of complex AI-based medical software
- Ensure medical validation and end-to-end traceability
- Foster transparency and cross-functional collaboration
- Monitor and report project progress
- Plan and coordinate software validation activities
- Maintain compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Create and review R&D documentation
- Guard agile ways of working
- Remove impediments and manage dependencies
- Support requirements engineering
- Ensure well-structured and testable requirements
- Track and verify requirements
- Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
