- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 5 years of professional HW development experience
- Experience in verification and industrialization of In-vehicle Infotainment systems, telematics/connectivity system or automotive ECUs
- Experience in analogue, digital and RF design
- Expert knowledge of automotive requirements, especially EMC
- Experience with schematic/layout realization and simulation tools
- Experience with Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of defect management rules and tools
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- High creativity and analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication skills with stakeholders
- Ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly
- Ability to defend engineering decisions
- Structured and target-oriented working style
- Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams
- Experience in analogue, digital and RF designs
- Experience in wireless applications or telematics systems
- Experience in requirements management beneficial
- Availability for flexible and on-demand work

Tasks
- Assess requirements and feasibility for telematics and connectivity functions
- Define suitable concepts for automotive IVI and telematics systems
- Implement and verify telematics and connectivity functions
- Support HW Project Leader in responsible area
- Analyze and assess customer requirements and OEM specifications
- Estimate BOM and calculate effort for telematics/connectivity functional blocks
- Perform cost-down analysis to meet HW BOM targets
- Conceive and prepare system/HW designs and schematics
- Conduct EDM projects and integrate hardware applications
- Consider new technologies, quality, cost, and suitability for series production
- Follow Harman BMS and SBU Hardware Development guidelines
- Collaborate with System and SW Architecture experts
- Provide technical specifications and documentation for HW PM/PL
- Support requirement engineering using Harman tools
- Manage change processes and documentation
- Conduct DFMEA for telematics/connectivity function blocks
- Guide technical measurements for platform/product verification
- Verify functional, performance, power, EMC, and thermal measurements
- Prepare technical requirement specifications for purchased parts
- Evaluate and select suitable suppliers
- Serve as technical interface to domains, customers, and component suppliers
- Collaborate globally with other departments and locations
