Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications)
- 5 years of HW development, verification, industrialization experience
- Project management experience
- Technical lead of HW team experience
- Schematic/layout realization and simulation tools knowledge (Mentor Graphics, SPICE)
- Microsoft applications knowledge
- Defect management tools knowledge (Jira or similar)
- Strong verbal and written English skills
- High creativity and analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly
- Ability to defend engineering decisions
- Structured and target-oriented working style
- Collaboration within cross-functional engineering teams
- Development of analogue, digital, RF designs experience
- Wireless applications (mobile network, telematics) experience
- Analogue, digital, RF design experience
- Requirements management experience (DOORS, DNG, ALM) beneficial
- Flexible and on-demand work availability (office and remote)
- Willingness to travel within German & international on demand (10-25%)
Tasks
- Lead HW development for OEM customer projects
- Coordinate HW-related tasks according to Harman BMS process
- Represent HW Project Manager in internal and external meetings
- Support HW Project Manager in project conception and commercial evaluation
- Provide technical specifications and documentation for Telematics and Connectivity products
- Support HW Development Process according to Harman BMS and SBU guidelines
- Perform Requirement Engineering using Harman tools
- Analyze and evaluate customer requirements and OEM specifications
- Estimate BOM costs and perform effort estimation
- Support risk management for HW projects
- Analyze cost-down measures to meet HW BOM targets
- Design and integrate hardware schematics for In-Vehicle Infotainment Systems
- Collaborate with Construction, Quality, Manufacturing, and Software departments
- Provide maintenance support for HW projects
- Offer technical support for industrialization of functional items
- Analyze customer specifications and generate work packages
- Conduct design reviews at each development stage
- Collect and report project status to management
- Execute special projects as directed by superiors
