Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science
  • 5+ years manufacturing operations experience, preferably pharmaceutical/chemical
  • Experience applying Health and Safety regulations and developing HSE programs
  • Authorization to work in Germany required
  • Desirable qualifications in waste management, fire protection, explosion protection, machine safety, hazardous materials, management systems
  • Excellent organization, time management, analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and interfacing with HSE regulatory agencies

Tasks

  • Assist in developing HSE operational readiness plan
  • Lead implementation of HSE programs
  • Support project team on health and safety decisions
  • Develop and roll out safety and health programs
  • Build partnerships with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering
  • Serve as site HSE program expert
  • Coordinate and submit internal and external reports
  • Support operational areas in regulatory compliance
  • Complete internal HSE audits
  • Lead and support incident investigations
  • Trend HSE data and compile metrics
  • Develop long-term improvement plans
  • Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and contractors
  • Access manufacturing and laboratory areas with PPE
