- Experience building and leading systems engineering functions for complex mechatronic, autonomous, or defence hardware programmes
- Delivered end-to-end integration, verification, and validation of hardware-software platforms in safety-critical or regulated environments
- Applied MBSE methodologies and systems architecture frameworks to manage requirements and complexity across large-scale physical systems
- Deep expertise in RAMS principles and defence/aerospace hardware regulatory landscape
- Engaged directly with defence customers, procurement agencies, or industry partners
- Fluent in English and eligible for security clearance
- Encouraged to apply even if not meeting all qualifications
Tasks
- Define and implement systems engineering strategy
- Scale processes and tooling across product lines
- Lead and develop a systems engineering department
- Establish and own complex system architectures
- Ensure alignment across software, AI, and defence requirements
- Serve as technical authority on critical system attributes
- Ensure regulatory compliance across programmes
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and electrical engineers
- Translate operational requirements into integrated solutions
- Hold accountability for system integration and validation
- Qualify and certify hardware-software platforms
- Ensure effective information flow and technical alignment
- Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols
- Lead root-cause analyses and mitigate risks
- Manage department timelines, resources, and budgets
- Monitor emerging technological trends
- Translate trends into architectural proposals
- Enhance physical defence systems and AI integration
