Tasks

  • Lead and develop the Product Engineering team
  • Manage Product Engineering processes
  • Conduct design freezes
  • Oversee pilot series
  • Implement iterative improvement loops
  • Enforce process freezes and volume gates
  • Coordinate with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Management
  • Clarify technical issues
  • Prioritize tasks and resources
  • Ensure delivery against timelines and cost targets
  • Communicate transparently on technical feasibility, risks, timelines, and costs
  • Manage BOM and continuous improvement
  • Drive product improvements after process freeze
  • Identify and close process gaps between R&D and Operations
  • Oversee SCS solution realization
  • Coordinate technical planning, construction, and production
  • Facilitate lessons-learned sessions
  • Contribute to ERP and PLM development
  • Support modularisation and variant management
  • Digitize technical processes and workflows
  • Manage change and improvement processes
  • Coordinate compliance activities for new products
  • Handle compliance challenges and escalations
  • Maintain compliance documentation
  • Support CE and EMC/EMV activities
  • Coordinate contributions from other departments
  • Interface with compliance experts
  • Support external compliance sign-off
  • Ensure internal production quality standards
  • Establish systems for test and measurement data
  • Support production in quality issues
  • Interface with ISO responsible person
  • Support process mapping and version control
  • Close R&D process gaps in line with ISO requirements
  • Complete documentation gaps in Product Engineering
  • Coordinate documentation closure across R&D
