Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Innovation, Engineering, Science or related field
- Proven experience in innovation management, strategy execution, or complex project delivery, organizational planning
- Experience with digital tools for innovation management (plus)
- Ability to translate market signals, technical insights, and operational complexity into strategic decisions and innovation portfolio
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Confidence engaging senior executives and leaders
- High analytical rigor
- Bias for impact and action
- Fluent English
- Strong communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to convey complex topics clearly
- Comfort navigating complex, ambiguous environments
- Ability to align multiple interests across regions and functions
- Willingness to travel internationally
Tasks
- Lead and steer Group Innovation portfolio
- Align innovation with Group Strategy
- Provide fact-based decision support
- Leverage market, regulatory, supply chain, and IP insights
- Disseminate insights across the Group
- Ensure disciplined execution of initiatives
- Drive portfolio prioritization and resource allocation
- Enable efficient stakeholder collaboration
- Deliver updates to senior management
- Lead and develop a team of 4–8 professionals
- Foster a performance-oriented culture
- Coach structured problem-solving
- Ensure capability building
- Oversee startup collaborations
- Ensure strategic fit and business impact
- Collaborate with technology providers
- Identify opportunities and manage risks
- Enable knowledge transfer
- Maintain sector insights
- Disseminate knowledge within the Group
- Strengthen innovation culture
- Organize innovation challenges and hackathons
- Represent Heidelberg Materials in industry forums
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders
- Evolve performance and governance framework
- Lead research grant requirements
- Manage public funding and financial incentives
- Design reporting tools and dashboards
- Refine best-in-class reporting
- Oversee contractual topics
- Manage IP and competition law
