You will lead a global team to develop cutting-edge mechatronic subsystems for robotic surgery, balancing strategic roadmap definition with hands-on leadership to drive healthcare innovations.

Requirements

• •University degree in Engineering, Science, Management, or comparable field
• •Substantial experience leading large R&D teams
• •Experience in mechatronic systems, medical electronics, and embedded software
• •Five years management experience across two levels
• •Management of global R&D teams and budgets
• •Strong project management background, ideally in medical technology
• •Experience in target costing and cost-conscious development
• •Business fluent English and advantageous German skills

Tasks

• •Lead global development for mechatronics, control software, and electronic components
• •Manage international teams across Germany, China, and India
• •Develop market-driven subsystems for C-arms and robotic surgery solutions
• •Oversee functional strategy and process optimization
• •Manage personnel planning, talent development, and succession planning
• •Control budgets and ensure adherence to target costs
• •Collaborate with R&D value streams to meet development goals
• •Maintain quality standards and support the installed base
• •Define technology, subsystem, and component roadmaps
• •Coordinate with internal and external suppliers
• •Optimize PLM efficiency and advance a global development toolkit
• •Partner with Technological Excellence Centers on subsystem execution
• •Cultivate a high-performing, diverse leadership team
• •Champion employee engagement and organizational capability development
