Hardware Engineer (RF Design)(m/w/x)
Develop and verify RF circuits for in-vehicle telematics systems at an automotive tech firm. 5+ years in HW development for automotive infotainment/telematics, with RF design knowledge, required. Flexible work schedule, employer pension contribution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or appropriate graduation)
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in HW development, verification, and industrialization of In-vehicle Infotainment systems, telematics/connectivity systems, or other automotive ECUs of similar complexity level
- Knowledge and experience in RF design, beneficial in wireless technologies (mobile/network, V2X, WIFI, BT) and/or telematics features
- Knowledge of tools for schematic/layout realization and simulation (e.g. Mentor Graphics, SPICE) and Microsoft applications
- Structured and target-oriented working style in an international team environment
- Experience in requirements management (e.g. DOORS, DNG, ALM), beneficial
- Structured and result-oriented working style
- Ability to work in a team with internal/external teams
- Good knowledge in spoken and written English
- Knowledge in spoken and written German
- Experience in ASIL / ISO 26262 compliant hardware designs
- Willingness to travel within Germany & internationally on demand (around 10-25%)
Tasks
- Develop and verify analog, digital, and RF circuits
- Assess requirements and feasibility for telematics systems
- Define suitable concepts for connectivity functions
- Support analysis and evaluation of customer requirements
- Assist in creating technical specifications and documentation
- Prepare technical requirement specifications for components
- Evaluate and select suitable suppliers for telematics blocks
- Act as a technical interface between suppliers and customers
- Contribute to defining the technology roadmap
- Introduce RF requirements for wireless technologies
- Collaborate globally with departments during development
