Hardware/Electrical Engineer – Functional Safety in Electronics(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Strong fundamentals in electronics
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience designing and analyzing real hardware
- 3+ years with analog/digital circuits, hardware design, simulation tools
- Deep familiarity with electronic components and their behavior
- Hands-on experience with circuit simulation tools
- Experience building or debugging simulation models
- Comfort with solver configuration, convergence optimization, simulation debugging
- Solid mathematical intuition for simulation and solver behavior
- Programming ability (strong advantage)
- Experience with Matlab, Python, Java, C++, or similar languages
- Experience with functional safety analysis (significant plus)
- Clear communication and strong sense of ownership
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a team
Tasks
- Develop and simulate models for integrated circuits.
- Model ASICs, FPGAs, and microcontrollers.
- Use manufacturer data and internal requirements.
- Translate datasheets and IBIS files into SPICE models.
- Model complex digital ICs and discrete semiconductors.
- Ensure accurate model functionality under failure modes.
- Ensure models are computationally feasible.
- Ensure technical integrity of automated safety analyses.
- Assess systems using circuit elements and interactions.
- Capture system behavior and failure effects.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives.
- Explore new approaches for automated safety analysis.
- Propose innovative methods.
- Prototype AI-assisted model development.
- Develop new failure-mode modeling techniques.
- Digitalize safety standards.
- Develop VHDL-based modeling approaches.
- Create prototypes using Matlab, Python, Java, C#.
- Further develop the product.
- Influence product performance metrics.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate tasks with team members.
- Tackle complex modeling challenges.
- Participate in model and documentation reviews.
- Contribute to technical discussions.
