Requirements
- Hands-on experience with functional safety at the silicon level
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor functional safety
- Strong hands-on expertise in hardware-level safety architecture
- Proficiency in safety analysis methods such as FMEDA, HARA, FTA, and DFA
- Experience interacting with functional safety assessors and certification bodies
- Familiarity with SoC design workflows and embedded safety IP
- Strong communication skills for external technical discussions
- Experience with NPU/AI accelerator architectures
- Working knowledge of ISO/SAE 21434 and SOTIF
- Background in AI/ML-based automotive applications
- Experience using safety tooling such as Medini Analyze and Ansys
- Participation in industry consortia or regulatory working groups
Tasks
- Define and lead safety architecture for automotive-grade AI chips
- Design and implement safety strategies compliant with ISO 26262, SOTIF, and ISO/SAE 21434
- Serve as technical lead in external engagements with automotive partners and customers
- Work directly with hardware and RTL teams to embed fault-tolerant features into design
- Define ISO 26262-compliant safety architecture for AI-enabled SoCs
- Integrate fault-tolerant safety mechanisms with RTL and SoC architects
- Lead HARA, FMEDA, FTA, and DFA for robust diagnostic coverage
- Develop and validate technical and functional safety concepts
- Partner with internal teams to implement and validate safety requirements
- Act as technical lead in partner and customer engagements
- Support external audits and liaise with certification bodies for compliance
- Incorporate ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO/PAS 21448 standards into architecture
- Contribute to and review safety documentation and traceability artifacts
- Help define and enhance internal safety development processes and tooling
