- Trade school certificate
- Completed AGE maintenance training (military or accredited technical school/college/university)
- Electrical/mechanical background
- Familiarity with diesel engine maintenance and repair

Tasks
- Lead and train AGE technicians
- Perform AGE inspections, maintenance, and servicing
- Manage AGE storage
- Maintain and inspect hydraulic systems
- Maintain and inspect pneumatic systems
- Maintain and inspect electrical systems
- Maintain and inspect fuel systems
- Maintain and inspect turbine engine AGE
- Maintain and inspect diesel engine AGE
- Maintain and inspect gasoline engine AGE
- Oversee day-to-day AGE shop operations
- Communicate work priorities with managers
- Perform maintenance according to USAF technical data
- Ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement
- Train AGE mechanics on inspection and repair
- Stock, maintain, and requisition parts and tools
- Prepare AGE/FLSE for deployments
- Respond to equipment storage inquiries
- Troubleshoot systems using diagnostic equipment
- Prepare and complete documentation
- Update historical data
- Coordinate actions with work orders
- Direct maintenance using action sheets and technical orders
- Develop standards for subordinates
- Implement quality assurance standards
- Ensure work is completed to quality standards
- Provide employee feedback on progress
- Orient new personnel to work crews
- Plan work assignments
- Establish work methods
- Conduct on-the-job training for AGE mechanics
- Train on safety and security awareness
- Prepare and update training records
- Prepare and inspect assets for shipment
- Perform servicing and maintenance of in-use assets
- Return equipment to mission capable status
- Submit deficiency reports and technical order changes
- Operate material handling equipment
- Inspect hazardous materials
- Coordinate HAZMAT disposal
- Ensure tools and PPE are safe and serviceable
- Maintain work area cleanliness
- Perform TDY as required
- Review safety plans and policies
- Participate in safety inspections and audits
- Ensure employee safety training
- Provide leadership for safety programs
- Perform other assigned duties
