Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in solar PV or electrical infrastructure
  • Understanding of DNO/ICP processes and grid connections
  • Familiarity with G99/G100 and installation standards
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specs
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Willingness to work on active construction sites
  • Experience with solar PV and HV substations
  • Knowledge of G99 commissioning and testing
  • HV authorisation (DNO or private network)
  • Experience with plant controllers or hybrid connections

Tasks

  • Coordinate with DNOs and ICPs during construction
  • Review and validate detailed designs and protection schemes
  • Integrate G99 and G100 requirements into construction
  • Provide technical oversight for HV/MV installations
  • Monitor progress against grid connection milestones
  • Review method statements and commissioning plans
  • Attend site inspections and witness tests
  • Validate as-built documentation against approved designs
  • Support commissioning teams during grid compliance testing
  • Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards
