Requirements
- •Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- •Experience in solar PV or electrical infrastructure
- •Understanding of DNO/ICP processes and grid connections
- •Familiarity with G99/G100 and installation standards
- •Ability to interpret technical drawings and specs
- •Strong communication and coordination skills
- •Willingness to work on active construction sites
- •Experience with solar PV and HV substations
- •Knowledge of G99 commissioning and testing
- •HV authorisation (DNO or private network)
- •Experience with plant controllers or hybrid connections
Education
Bachelor's degree
Work Experience
approx. 1 - 4 years
Tasks
- •Coordinate with DNOs and ICPs during construction
- •Review and validate detailed designs and protection schemes
- •Integrate G99 and G100 requirements into construction
- •Provide technical oversight for HV/MV installations
- •Monitor progress against grid connection milestones
- •Review method statements and commissioning plans
- •Attend site inspections and witness tests
- •Validate as-built documentation against approved designs
- •Support commissioning teams during grid compliance testing
- •Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards
