Tasks
- Act as global SME for systems engineering and architecture
- Support areas and sites with technical guidance and best practices
- Drive standardization of control system architectures
- Ensure consistent and scalable approaches for PCS, HMI/SCADA, PLC platforms
- Support robust and maintainable Process Control Networks and IT/OT infrastructures
- Structure and standardize virtual machine environments for automation systems
- Define standard setups and lifecycle concepts for virtual machines
- Support deployment and use of operational tools like data historians
- Ensure common usage principles and data consistency for operational tools
- Act as technical interface for Remote Operation initiatives
- Ensure compatibility with centralized and remote operation concepts
- Support definition of control philosophies and operational boundaries
- Contribute to global and regional automation projects
- Participate in design reviews and architecture validation
- Support knowledge consolidation and harmonization across regions
- Align with CCC-Area automation experts on common principles and standards
