Requirements

  • Native or near-native German proficiency
  • Proven experience teaching German (A1–C2)
  • Academic qualification (MA German as Foreign Language, Linguistics, Education, or equivalent)
  • Recognised teaching certification (DaF/DaZ qualification)
  • Experience preparing exams and marking student work
  • Alignment with CEFR framework
  • Adherence to institutional assessment regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students
  • Experience teaching international students
  • Experience preparing for TELC/TestDaF/Goethe exams
  • English proficiency

Tasks

  • Teach German courses on-campus (A1–C2 levels)
  • Design interactive lesson plans for diverse learners
  • Prepare exams, quizzes, and assessment materials
  • Mark assignments, exams, and projects accurately
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Conduct assessments to track student progress
  • Foster a motivating, inclusive classroom environment
  • Incorporate cultural knowledge into lessons
  • Support extracurricular language initiatives
  • Maintain accurate student records
  • Participate in faculty meetings and curriculum development
  • Contribute to student retention and integration
