Requirements

  • •Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field
  • •5+ years’ experience in chemical/biotech/process manufacturing
  • •Proven track record in significant investment projects
  • •Strong knowledge of process optimization, troubleshooting, ESHQ, and process safety
  • •Natural leadership with balance of structure and efficiency
  • •Hands-on, pragmatic, and team-oriented with strong time management
  • •Fluency in English and German
  • •Motivation by sustainability and eagerness to join a biotech startup

Tasks

  • •Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the production plant
  • •Align external contractors and site infrastructure to meet timelines and budgets
  • •Hire, onboard, and train the plant operations team
  • •Develop and implement SOPs for new processes, ensuring safety and compliance
  • •Transition into the Plant Manager role to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • •Optimize production processes to enhance performance, quality, and yield
  • •Embed MicroHarvest’s collaborative culture into the new location
