Requirements
- 5+ years professional experience in VoIP/telephony engineering, SIP integrations, telecom consulting, or adjacent roles with direct customer impact
- Strong hands-on expertise with SIP-based integrations, call routing concepts, and real-world troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of signaling vs. media flows, common failure modes, and diagnostic approaches
- Practical experience with SIP trunking providers, SBCs, enterprise PBX/contact center setups, or similar telecom infrastructure
- Comfort in ambiguous, high-responsibility situations; issue ownership and resolution
- Clear communication with engineers and non-telephony stakeholders
- Builder mindset: designing, validating, and making fixes repeatable
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong plus: Cloud-native experience (especially Azure), Kubernetes, and/or building integration tooling
Tasks
- Diagnose tricky call flows.
- Design robust connectivity patterns.
- Unblock go-lives under pressure.
- Lead VoIP/SIP connectivity projects for customers and partners.
- Manage projects from proof-of-concept to production.
- Design reliable call paths for integrations.
- Architect integrations using SIP trunking and telephony.
- Balance latency, reliability, and security constraints.
- Debug complex end-to-end signaling and media issues.
- Troubleshoot problems using logs and network traces.
- Propose connectivity options for strict enterprise constraints.
- Address firewall policies, limited ports, and security.
- Partner with customer engineers.
- Align architectures, test plans, and operational procedures.
- Enable telephony partners to integrate with Parloa.
- Resolve partner escalations.
- Improve repeatability via patterns, tooling, and documentation.
- Build utilities, scripts, or lightweight services.
- Validate assumptions, automate diagnostics, and close gaps.
- Define best practices for telephony deployment reliability.
- Improve NAT traversal, resiliency, monitoring, and incident response.
- Shape the product through field learnings.
- Provide clear feedback to core engineering.
- Drive platform improvements from integration pain.
