Requirements

  • •Background in explosion protection and simulation
  • •Experience in 2D and 3D design
  • •Knowledge of design tool management
  • •Knowledge of multi-physics and thermal simulation
  • •Knowledge of CFD and magnetic simulation
  • •EMC and PCB layout design skills
  • •Mechanical engineering experience in structure/thermal
  • •Theoretical basis in material and mechanics
  • •Experience in project management and team-building
  • •Experience in prototype and part manufacturing

Tasks

  • •Support R&D projects with shared engineering resources
  • •Execute 2D and 3D mechanical designs
  • •Perform multi-physics and CFD simulations
  • •Handle PCB design and EMC integration
  • •Manage simulation and design tools for all NRC teams
  • •Plan and support the dedicated IT hardware environment
  • •Coordinate hardware needs with leadership and lab directors
  • •Build prototyping capabilities for mechanical parts and PCBs
  • •Develop complete converter prototypes using local resources
  • •Collaborate with local suppliers to expand support networks
  • •Manage personnel resources and assign project capacity
  • •Develop technical platform capabilities for future requirements
