Tasks

  • Define and optimize Allianz Group’s reinsurance and retrocession strategy
  • Align reinsurance strategy with Group’s risk appetite and business goals
  • Structure and place Group-wide reinsurance and retrocession programs
  • Set and steer target reinsurance pricing
  • Negotiate with global brokers and reinsurers for optimized outcomes
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with reinsurers and brokers
  • Advise the Group Retrocession Committee on strategic decisions
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment across Allianz entities and centers
  • Lead and facilitate annual strategic meetings with global reinsurance brokers
  • Brief and advise Allianz SE and Allianz Re Board members
  • Prepare senior leadership for major international reinsurance events
  • Oversee complex data analyses for reinsurance cessions and portfolio performance
  • Translate data insights into strategic recommendations
  • Manage stakeholder situations, resolving conflicts and addressing resistance
