Requirements

  • •5-7 years of experience with AWS
  • •Experience with other European cloud providers
  • •Hybrid/multi-cloud operations experience
  • •Experience with GitOps and IaC: Terraform, ArgoCD
  • •Experience with databases: Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Pulsar, Redis

Tasks

  • •Ensure service availability and uptime
  • •Meet service level agreements with customers
  • •Prepare teams for incident management and operational excellence
  • •Define, plan, and execute large-scale initiatives
  • •Maintain operational excellence during consolidation and migration projects
  • •Scale the platform and operations model with technical and product demands
  • •Design and improve a large-scale Kubernetes environment
  • •Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and developer productivity
  • •Enhance developer experience through strategic initiatives
  • •Lead, mentor, and grow a team of SRE and DevOps engineers
  • •Set clear goals and provide regular feedback
  • •Conduct performance evaluations for team members
  • •Define the internal Developer Platform for Wire
  • •Manage team demand and capacity needs
  • •Collaborate with technical disciplines to shape the cloud platform
  • •Contribute to Wire's platform vision and technical strategy
  • •Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of services
  • •Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies
  • •Enhance system architecture for growing scale and complexity
  • •Collaborate to enable scalable and reliable systems
  • •Drive initiatives to optimize cloud spending
  • •Streamline development workflows, tools, and processes
  • •Enable teams to manage their CI/CD platforms
  • •Provide technical guidance to developers
  • •Advocate for best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
