Engineering Manager(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
• Experience in industrial, EPC, or process plant projects
• Exposure to full project lifecycles or Owner-Operator perspective
• Ability to review PFDs, P&IDs, and technical deliverables
• Experience in scheduling, procurement, and bid evaluation
• Familiarity with risk and safety reviews
• Coordination of suppliers, EPC partners, and teams
• Professional English and German skills
• Ownership of timelines and delivery-first mindset
• Structured, detail-driven approach with system-level overview
• Direct communication and priority setting skills
• Problem-solving skills in technology scale-up environments
• Proactive, hands-on startup execution mindset
• Team motivation and high productivity standards
• Combination of education and experience or potential

Tasks

• Act as the technical bridge between R&D, EPC partners, and investors
• Provide technical support for due diligence activities
• Manage technical requirements for demo and commercial plants
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering and vendor teams
• Meet project schedule, cost, safety, and performance targets
• Translate pilot learnings into scalable commercial plant designs
• Establish modular execution standards for plant designs
• Increase documentation quality and establish technical reviews
• Set up project schedules and milestones
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
