Engineer – Product Quality Failure Investigation & Testing Quality Division(m/w/x)
Investigating electro-medical device failures and determining root causes. Engineering degree with hands-on electronics testing experience required. Variable short-term and long-term incentives.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Bachelor, Master) in analog and digital techniques
- Technician level qualification and hands-on experience prior to university degree (advantage)
- Education in technical handcraft (e.g., electronics technician, Information electronic, communication technician telecom) (beneficial)
- Many years' experience & expertise in performing activities indicated above in similar products
- Knowledge & experience in analyzing/designing & testing microprocessor circuits (embedded circuits), electronic (HW/SW integrated) modules
- Strong technical background in PCB modules, electronic and mechanical schematics
- Strong background systematic error/technical debugging & cause investigation
- Strong knowledge using measurement & test devices
- Ability to craft technical strategies to investigate quality and technical problems
- Knowledge systematic engineering and reliability methods (FTAs & FMEAs) and simulation & modelling tools (advantage)
- Good understanding of physics & engineering principles including failure analysis, root cause analysis techniques
- Ability to show sound engineering skills/knowledge
- Good knowledge of English (written & spoken)
- Knowledge of German (preferred)
- Ability to adapt, flexible and work under ambiguity
- Ability to prioritize and lead independently
- Ability to communicate effectively (Clear & Fact based)
- Ability to collaborate and establish relationships
- Strong ability to make clear technical communication and assert oneself

Tasks
- Drive and execute technical failure investigations of electro-medical devices
- Determine defects, failures, and root causes of product problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and R&D
- Develop and build test concepts and methods
- Qualify and execute test methods
- Write technical reports on test results
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components
- Isolate faults and identify root causes
- Contribute to design and technical reviews of electronic modules
- Support reliability activities such as FMEA and FTA
- Develop and maintain the quality investigation lab
- Assess and qualify broker goods and verify counterfeit items
- Participate in engineering projects and activities
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management
