Requirements

  • At least 5–8 years of experience in German co-determination and employee relations
  • Solid knowledge of German labor law, particularly BetrVG
  • Skilled negotiator with experience drafting works agreements
  • Effective communicator with confidence to engage stakeholders
  • Degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Native-level fluency in German
  • Advanced proficiency in English
  • French language skills (plus)
  • Pragmatic problem-solver thriving in high-growth tech environments
  • Ability to find middle ground in complex situations
  • English fluency mandatory
  • Prior experience negotiating with German Works Councils mandatory
  • Deep knowledge of BetrVG mandatory

Tasks

  • Manage relationships with German Works Councils
  • Draft and review works agreements
  • Negotiate with Legal and stakeholders
  • Advise on co-determination rights and BetrVG requirements
  • Support organizational changes and policy rollouts
  • Ensure Works Council consultations align with business needs
  • Maintain documentation of Works Council interactions
  • Contribute to European employee relations topics
  • Inspire and empower colleagues
  • Promote work-life balance and wellbeing
