Requirements

• •Advanced degree in relevant field
• •Experience with manufacturing and process engineering
• •Manufacturing documentation and process development experience
• •Ability to provide DFM/DFX guidelines
• •Professional experience in owned factory operations
• •Experience in production process and equipment selection
• •Experience in predictive software design packages
• •Experience with Superior Project/Timeline adherence
• •Knowledge of PPAP and process control
• •Clear communication and advocacy skills
• •Compliance to Labor practices and CoGS
• •Ability to access export-controlled information

Tasks

• •Lead the NPI build process
• •Manage manufacturing engineering and factory operations
• •Report to the VP of Spacecraft Development
• •Lead continuous improvement projects
• •Support new product launches
• •Provide sustaining manufacturing process support
• •Advocate for DFx needs to development teams
• •Ensure products meet cost, quality, and schedule standards
• •Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team
• •Design and implement a growth-aligned organizational structure
• •Own global factory and R&D facility location strategy
• •Resolve day-to-day production issues with hands-on support
• •Manage scope, schedule, and budget for improvement projects
• •Drive project implementation within manufacturing
• •Research and design manufacturing methods and equipment
• •Design test processes to ensure product quality
• •Establish standards for measuring product and process capabilities
• •Design and manage versatile production lines
• •Optimize factory layout and assembly processes
• •Manage vendor qualification and quality management
• •Calculate production, labor, and material costs
• •Review production schedules and estimate future requirements
• •Analyze and summarize product and process trends
• •Maintain product and process tracking databases
• •Train and guide technicians and engineers
• •Manage day-to-day operations for quality and manufacturing teams
• •Design experiments to characterize hardware through testing
• •Provide hardware recommendations to the broader team
• •Enable change management to improve operational efficiencies
• •Eliminate work duplication through repeatable processes
