Requirements

  • Good knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Lean/Six Sigma expertise with Black Belt or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of operational performance management, Lean, Continuous Improvement principles
  • Proven experience leading operational transformation and Continuous Improvement programs at regional or global scale
  • Recognized leadership
  • Ability to provide clear framework for performance to direct reports
  • Pro-active mindset, ability to think end-to-end with global mindset
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data, develop innovative solutions
  • Ability to be self-directed under tight deadlines

  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills to all organization levels
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) with business levels
  • Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
  • Fluent English (verbal and written)
  • Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Four-year college or university degree with Supply Chain Management focus
  • Minimum 6+ years leadership and remote team management experience
  • Minimum 4+ years applying Lean, continuous improvement concepts
  • Strong experience with Distribution Center processes, ideally acted as DC lead for minimum 5 years
  • Sound understanding of warehouse management (WMS) and labor management systems

Tasks

  • Lead global Continuous Improvement strategy and deployment
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean and Six Sigma
  • Standardize working methods and performance management
  • Develop and maintain Continuous Improvement standards and tools
  • Create and manage training and certification programs
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Continuous Improvement community
  • Promote Kaizen culture and structured problem-solving
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and SCM teams
  • Identify and scale best practices across the distribution network
  • Own the adidas Performance Ecosystem framework
  • Improve the Performance Ecosystem global toolbox
  • Conduct regular DC maturity assessments
  • Coach ops leadership to adopt the Performance Ecosystem
  • Monitor and ensure adoption of the Performance Ecosystem
  • Influence SCM and distribution leadership to embrace performance culture
  • Simplify Lean principles for high acceptance among operators
  • Define annual efficiency targets and site improvement plans
  • Work with market teams to implement continuous improvement roadmaps
  • Establish a community of Lean/Continuous Improvement experts
  • Skill up Lean Ambassadors for floor and operations improvement
  • Develop and deploy certified Continuous Improvement training programs
  • Train and develop operational teams and leadership
  • Own global productivity metrics
  • Increase consistency and comparability of productivity metrics
  • Identify and drive process redesign for efficiency
  • Engage with industry experts for innovation
  • Develop joint innovation roadmaps
  • Advise on distribution network initiatives and projects
  • Ensure Lean principles in solution design and implementation
  • Build and manage the Continuous Improvement organization
  • Identify and develop future talents
  • Create succession scenarios for key positions
  • Ensure strong leadership skills at all levels
  • Create a motivational and supportive work environment
  • Provide clear direction and targets aligned with business needs
