- 8+ years digital marketing technology, operations, or solutions architecture
- Essential retail or e-commerce industry experience
- Proven hands-on architecting/integrating retail marketing platforms
- Customer Data Platforms (CDP) expertise (Segment, Tealium, Bloomreach)
- E-commerce Platforms expertise (Shopify Plus, Salesforce CC, Magento, Commercetools)
- Marketing/CRM Platforms expertise (Salesforce MC, Braze, Emarsys)
- Personalization Engines expertise (Dynamic Yield, Klevu, Nosto)
- Strong understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL)
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
- Solid understanding of schema design concepts
- Solid understanding of identity resolution concepts
- Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Familiarity with tag management systems (Google Tag Manager)
- Deep understanding of key retail metrics (CLV, Conversion Rate, AOV)
- Ability to connect technology solutions to business outcomes
- Expert knowledge of data privacy and consent management (GDPR)
- Experience with headless commerce
- Experience with composable architecture
- Familiarity with loyalty program platforms and integration
- Knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
- Knowledge of Product Information Management (PIM) systems
- Experience in B2C retail environments
- Experience in D2C retail environments
- Professional fluency in German
Tasks
- Design and govern marketing technology stack architecture
- Architect CDP, e-commerce, personalization, and loyalty platforms
- Architect data flows for unified customer view
- Integrate online and offline customer data
- Design marketing data model within CDP
- Architect solutions for real-time personalization
- Deliver personalized content and offers
- Lead marketing technology evaluation and selection
- Develop multi-year MarTech roadmap
- Oversee platform integration using APIs
- Establish data management governance standards
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations
- Translate business needs into technical requirements
- Empower teams with effective technology solutions
