In this role, you will bridge data engineering and business analytics by building scalable data pipelines and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data flows are reliable and business-ready. Your work will enhance decision-making through effective data management and reporting.

Requirements

• •Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields
• •Advanced expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery
• •Proven experience in designing, optimizing and maintaining production-grade data pipelines and data marts in GCP
• •Hands-on experience in re-architecting and modernizing BI setups during migrations
• •Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, complex joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning in large-scale datasets
• •Practical experience with Git version control: working with branches, pull requests, code reviews in a collaborative setup
• •Experience with data pipeline orchestration and automation (e.g. dbt, Apache Airflow, Dataflow, Spark or similar frameworks)
• •Proven track record in data modeling and data mart development: fact/dimension modeling, conformed dimensions, KPI logic implementation
• •Strong ability to design and document migration paths for Data Engineers and business stakeholders
• •Hands-on experience with BI/visualization tools (especially with Looker Studio and Looker ML)
• •Several years of relevant experience as a BI/Analytical Engineer, Data Engineer or Senior Data Analyst
• •Proficiency in English

Tasks

• •Design and optimize data transformations in BigQuery
• •Develop and maintain standardized, automated, and monitored data pipelines
• •Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical KPI definitions
• •Participate in the migration from SAP BO to GCP/Looker by analyzing legacy reporting systems
• •Define equivalent or improved BigQuery solutions based on existing data usage and KPI logic
• •Identify missing data points and evaluate data dependencies
• •Coordinate with the Data Engineering team for completeness and future-proofing of solutions
• •Implement monitoring, testing, and documentation frameworks to ensure data accuracy and consistency
• •Partner with business teams and analysts to align technical solutions with business needs
• •Develop standardized reporting layers using Looker Studio and Looker ML
• •Facilitate training sessions and provide support for business users on reporting tools and KPI logic
