- •Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent fields
- •10+ years of experience in technology or product development
- •Experience in managing complex projects and leading multi-functional teams
- •Experience in leading a team of technology and product developers
- •Deep understanding of optics, glass, optical fiber properties, and Silicon Photonics
- •Ability to determine addressable markets based on market data and technology architecture insights
- •Understanding of technology and product-related decisions impact on market adoption
- •Understanding of competitive positioning, capability gaps, and required roadmaps
- •Ease with frequent customer engagements at a technical level
- •Ability to collaborate across functional boundaries to solve problems
- •Ability to mobilize and influence people to meet objectives
- •Proven ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
- •Fluency in English with excellent verbal/written communication skills
- •Ability to garner trust and lead collaborative work efforts across multiple time zones
- •MBA or equivalent demonstrated experience
- •Work experience in PLM, Manufacturing and/or Product Development in OEM context
- •International perspective and business work experience
- •Participation in, or leadership of, multicultural and/or multi-geographic projects

- •Develop a deep understanding of market needs and technology trends
- •Map out market trends and technology roadmaps
- •Identify key gaps and make recommendations for technology capabilities and new products
- •Establish trusting relationships with technical counterparts at primary customers and partners
- •Participate in industry forums to enhance Corning's presence in Silicon Photonics and CPO technologies
- •Collaborate with PLM to estimate Corning's addressable market and potential in CPO
- •Refine the value proposition in collaboration with PLM and Marketing
- •Support PLM, Technology, Research, Sales, and Marketing teams as a commercial technology SME
