Requirements

  • •Experience in data privacy and compliance
  • •Experience with privacy program operations
  • •Knowledge of GDPR and EU AI Act
  • •Experience assisting with incident response
  • •Understanding of cybersecurity compliance concepts
  • •Qualified to practice law in Germany
  • •Two German law exams or comparable qualification
  • •LL.M. or foreign bar admission desirable
  • •5+ years privacy law experience
  • •Knowledge of U.S. state privacy laws
  • •Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • •Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • •Ability to travel up to 10%
  • •High degree of systems proficiency

Tasks

  • •Draft and negotiate data processing agreements
  • •Manage privacy and fundamental rights impact assessments
  • •Coordinate DSAR and data deletion processes
  • •Support incident response and post-incident remediation
  • •Advise on cybersecurity and data mapping initiatives
  • •Partner with HR on employee data compliance
  • •Conduct vendor diligence on AI and personal data
  • •Manage insider threat and operational compliance items
  • •Monitor regulatory developments and provide stakeholder guidance
  • •Manage relationships with specialized outside counsel
